The most appropriate way to introduce a colleague or acquaintance to another person is to say “Bradley, this is my colleague David. David is with Unique Wealth, he advises us on all our financial affairs.” This immediately informs Bradley of what it is that David does and how David can be of assistance to him. You should of course introduce Bradley to David thus putting David in the picture as to how Bradley can help him. If neither party has a need for the other’s service or product at least you've given each of them a starting-point to kick off a discussion and to get to know each other a little better. You might be surprised to discover that they each have a basket full of referrals for one another’s businesses.
